About Us
Experience, knowledge and intuition
We are experienced professionals who have worked with all sorts of organisations, from big corporates to small not-for-profits and quirky research institutes. We understand how organisations tick, and we’ll work alongside you to understand what yours needs to flourish.
Full-time care without a full-time role
We recognise that smaller organisations, and not-for-profits, may not have the resources or requirement for a full-time or in-house governance role. We work in the same way as your non-executive directors: we take on the legal responsibilities of the role but we aren’t in the business on a day-to-day basis.
This doesn’t mean we work ‘at arm’s length’, though. We genuinely care about achieving great things together, and we think you can’t do that as an outsider. We prefer to get our hands dirty in the trenches beside you, in a lasting partnership. We’ll find the BGS consultant who is a perfect cultural fit for your organisation, and who will bring all the benefits of our collective experience, including new ideas for systems, processes and frameworks that will work for you.
Small business. Big care factor
BGS is family owned, which means we care about taking care of things for the future. We believe in long-term relationships and making sure our clients get the best outcomes possible. We’ll work with you as if we were part of your business. For everyone at BGS, business is personal. We’ll return your calls and emails. We don’t charge in 15min blocks.
